Beautiful location that is just a minute from the beach, but feels like it is in a remote location.
Walking distance to the beach, to the market, walking distance to restaurants and eating establishments. This beautiful home is in a fantastic location. It's been very well cared for and the attention to every little detail is very impressive.

If you are looking to stay near Playa Avellanas, look no further than David's place! It is very clean and had everything we needed. It is SO close to great restaurants and the beach (all within walking distance). The pool is gorgeous and we felt very safe. David is also a great host - very responsive and helpful and even goes the extra mile with doing things like putting water bottles out by the bedside tables. We loved using the outdoor shower, POOL (!) and hammock. We will definitely be coming back!
David was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay at Pazifico. Highly recommend it!
Many details make the stay wonderful. Very close to the beach, impeccable rooms, top quality mattresses and sheets, beautiful hand-painted pillows, full kitchen, comfortable sofa and armchairs in the living room, very bright, plenty of fans and AA in the bedrooms. Modern bathrooms and very good towels , balconies, beautiful pool with infinity view of the trees, David always friendly and willing. Parking. A calm place surrounded by trees. Thanks a lot, David. Pacifico Villas is great.
While echoing what others have already said, there are so many good things about this place! We stayed in the canopy villa. Up high, there is usually a nice breeze going through the rooms so when it's hot or when we were cooking, the heat got swept away. The breeze also keeps away the mosquitos! There is AC in the bedrooms for a comfortable sleep. I cook and we mostly ate in for the month we stayed at Pazifico. The kitchen is well appointed and Dave lent us his knife sharpener to keep the knives sharp! He was very attentive when we needed any kitchen implements. On very hot afternoons, when the heat is high and the sun too much to walk the 10 minutes to the beach, the pool is steps away and lovely! This is our third time in Costa Rica, and Pazifico is by far our favorite place to stay!
My wife and I have stayed in both the condo and casita that David has to offer. We've been coming to Playa Avellanas for 12 years, stayed at the JW, Hacienda Pinillas, etc... Every place has its positives, but frankly, David's location, price, and accommodations make all the difference - mattresses are GREAT, so sleep is terrific. Location is IDEAL - Pazifico Villas is 10min max walk to the beach, 2-10min walk to some of the best restaurants in the area, 10min to Playa Negra, 20min to Tamarindo if you want the touristy thing, etc... just ideal. If you want to avoid the tourist trap, have great beach, good eats, and a chill vibe, this is the place. It's our home away from home in Playa Avellanas...
My wife and I spent a long weekend at Pazifico Tropical Villas and absolutely loved our stay! The property is in the perfect location. It's set back from the road, only a short walk from the beach, and surrounded by the beautiful Costa Rican flora and fauna. The owner, Dave, takes wonderful care of the Villas that are all new, clean, and spacious. The A/C is a welcome respite though the big patio doors can also be opened to enjoy the natural ocean breeze. The property feels very safe and is in great proximity to the local amenities. We loved hanging on the hammock, and, can't wait to visit again to use the grill and soon-to-be-finished pool! A great stay, would definitely recommend, and can't wait to return! 🙂
A wonderful place to stay. We - my wife and our two children - had a fantastic week at Dave’s house. I can only echo all other positive comments from previous reviews. I’d like to point out Dave’s high level of attention and support, the excellent condition of the apartment and equipped beyond what we typically saw in Costa Rica. Thanks a lot Dave for having hosted us!
